Shadow is in a great spot right now. They are top tier in the meters but arent too overpowered to warrant any nerfs. I really do miss the old voidform playstyle but I understand why they had to make it a cd. Its still a really fun spec.
Is Shadow Priest any good?
In Mythic and Mythic+ dungeons, they can provide good damage, but are lacking utility compared to some other specs. However, they do have enough utility that they aren’t rare, just not as common. In Raids, both Overall and specifically single target (damage done only to bosses), Shadow Priest is very strong.

Shadow priest is fun if you like control. Spriest PvP is about shutting people down and reading a situation. Tools like Greater Fade and Dispersion need to be used to counter cooldowns, and things like silence / psychic horror need to be used to shut someone down.

Is Shadow Priest good for beginners?
